High Accuracy Dispensing Simplified

High accuracy dispensing does not always require a full featured dispense system. GPD Global’s PCD series of dispense valves can be used on the tabletop or in the laboratory with an adjustable stand and the smart controller. The adjustable stand holds the PCD Series of dispense valves in virtually any position for ease of use. The valve can be held on its side to fill a cup or perhaps vertically to wet a surface. A 51” (1.3m) extension cable is available for remote valve use. The smart controller interfaces with the PCD Series of dispense valves and allows the operator a variety of methods for dispensing.

Dispense Modes

Operators can select volumetric mode for which the volume is defined in milliliters or micro liters. A timed dispense is available when the exact volume is not known. Lastly, the operator has full control through a foot switch interface that keeps the valve running for as long as needed. In each of these modes the operator is able to define the dispense rate for an even fluid delivery as well as the amount of reverse to relieve pressure that may build up in the nozzle.

Smart Controller

For calibrated accuracy, the operator may conduct a volumetric calibration which is then stored in the smart controller. The smart controller can store a variety of programs which can be recalled for different products. Additionally, the controller can be configured to start with a specific set of parameters for quick startup.

The smart controller can also be used as an interface to another control system - another machine, for example. By supplying a start signal, the smart controller initiates the selected program. For greater versatility, the controller can also be set up to dispense for as long as the signal is on. This scenario works best when a variety of dispense patterns or volumes are to be dispensed.
